The Bible is the story of God’s grace. It is the best story of all. John Newton, the slave trader, who put his faith in Jesus which turned his life around, made it a practice to write a hymn to accompany each of his sermons. The hymn for his New Years’ service on January 1, 1773, incorporated the perfect word to describe God’s grace—“amazing”!
The apostle Paul in his writing to Titus says, “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” Titus 2:11-14 ESV
As Christians we are recipients of God’s grace and are to share this Good News with others.
PRAISE AND PRAYER:
We are thankful for our latest IBAC course in May in Salamanca, Mexico. Edwin, Kevin, Marcelo, and Esteban taught from the course "Leyendo la biblia para Entendimiento e impacto” ("Reading the Bible for Understanding and Impact”). The class developed how to read the Bible for both understanding and application. It also dealt with the different genres of the Bible. This is the second of fourteen modules in this location. Around eighty participants come from five different area churches. For more information about IBAC (Bible Institute of the Americas and the Caribbean) training ministry, click here.
2. The month of March Kevin spent teaching with IBAC In Bolivia and Argentina. The team first worked in Buenos Aires, teaching Old Testament to a group of about 80 from area churches. Then they went on to Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where they taught Bible Study Methods and Principles of Interpretation to attendees from eight area churches.
3. Back in the States, we continue to spend time with our Hispanic neighbors in friendship and Bible study in Spanish. Tia also continues with English-as-a-second-language ministries, but in between, she spends as much time as possible with our two new grandbabies, Shiloh Reed Zavodney (born March 17 to Tara and Joe) and Theodore Joseph-Cole Hermes (born April 24 to Katy and Brandon). Praise!!!
4. Lastly, we are requesting prayer and support for our next IBAC session in Salamanca, Mexico. In November 2024, Kevin along with Bart Sheridan, from our sending church, will be back there again to teach the next module to the same group we shared with in May. We need to raise $4000 in funds to financially provide for travel, materials, translator costs, and meals for students (as they come straight from work and spend all evening in course work). We have already raised $500.
5. Please pray for this, and if you believe God would have you be part of the funding, electronic donations can be made on our website homepage, ReillysbyGrace.com --Click the button “Donate to Support,” and under "Giving Type," choose Grace Global Ministries. Under "notes," indicate “Salamanca.” Checks can be sent to Grace Global Ministries, Attn: M. Bowen, PO Box 12, Cedarville, OH 45314, with a note directing it to the Reilly’s account/Salamanca. Any questions can be directed to reilly.clr@gmail.com.
Thank you again for all your prayers and support and friendship.
With faith in Him,
