Dear Friends and Family,
Hope you all are well. We need to update you with an important praise and prayer request.
As most of you know, our daughter Tara returned with us this school year to teach at Sojourn Academy—where she works with 3rd and 4th graders as well as second-language (Spanish) learners, missionary kids whose parents will be working in Spanish-speaking countries. It has truly been a joy to have her along the ministry adventure.
This last Tuesday we were suddenly dealing with another family medical emergency—Tara had been having abdominal cramps and after a visit to the doctor, she ended up having surgery at the private hospital here in San Jose to get her appendix removed.
Tara is already feeling better, and we are so thankful to the Lord for a wonderful doctor and an amazing hospital staff—warm and informative. We are so grateful. We are so grateful to be together with her during this time of emergency.
And while we are relieved and grateful (thus the “praise” of this note), we also request prayer for provision. Tara, having recently moved from the university situation to teaching in Costa Rica, is in between private medical insurances. While she does have the Costa Rican national insurance, that does not cover private hospitals, and in this case, it was important that surgery be done without having to wait.
We know the Lord will help us cover the costs, but if anyone would like to help us cover some of the hospital and doctor costs of $5700 (that being the complete cost—amazing!), it would certainly be a huge help. Electronic donations can be made on our website homepage, ReillysbyGrace.com (Click the button “Donate to Support,” and under "Giving Type," choose Grace Global Ministries. Under "notes," indicate gift for Reilly/medical. Checks can be sent to Grace Global Ministries, Attn: M. Bowen, PO Box 12, Cedarville, OH 45314, with a note directing it to the Reilly’s account. Any questions can be directed to reilly.clr@gmail.com.
Whether or not you are able to help with this bill, we do ask prayers that it will all be covered, and most importantly, that Tara will continue to recuperate to full health again as the Lord wills.
With faith in Him,
